Gustav Vallinder

Gustav Vallinder is an industrial PhD student at the Department of Control Engineering, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (EECS) at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), affiliated with Scania's Autonomous Motion Planning & Control group. His research is part of the AllDrive project, focusing on motion control for self-driving trucks with trailers in challenging winter road conditions.

He is supervised by Jonas Mårtensson and Karl Henrik Johansson at KTH, and Pedro F. Lima at Scania. Vallinder is sponsored by FFI (Swedish Transport Administration) and holds an affiliated doctoral student position with WASP (Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program).

As a researcher, Vallinder contributes to advancing autonomous vehicle technology through industrial-academic collaboration between KTH and Scania. His work bridges theoretical control engineering with real-world applications in transportation innovation.
