Gurwinder Singh

Dr. Gurwinder Singh is a Research Fellow at the Global Innovative Centre for Advanced Nanomaterials (GICAN), School of Engineering, University of Newcastle. His research focuses on designing advanced nanoporous materials for CO2 capture/conversion, energy storage systems, and environmental remediation.

Primary research domains include:

• Development of biomass-derived porous carbons with tunable functionality
• Nanomaterial synthesis for supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries
• Photocatalytic CO2 reduction systems inspired by natural processes

His work emphasizes sustainable material design, with publications in high-impact journals including Advanced Materials and Progress in Materials Science.
