Gurvinder Kaur

Gurvinder Kaur, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Medicine, Lubbock, TX. She also serves as the Associate Block Director for Clinically Oriented Anatomy and Biology of Cells and Tissues blocks.

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (Cell and Molecular Biology), TTUHSC (2012)
• Postdoctoral training in transplantation immunology and diabetes (2012–2016)

Her research focuses on tocotrienols to prevent islet amyloid formation in diabetes, supported by grants from the South Plains Foundation and LWBIWH/UMC. She collaborates with the Center of Excellence in Obesity and Cardiometabolic Research.

Future research directions include exploring islet biology in diabetes and advancing transplantation immunology studies. The Center of Excellence provides institutional support for her work.
