Gunther Kaltenböck is a Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Graz's Institute of English Studies. He holds an MA in English and French Language and Literature (University of Vienna), an MA in Modern English Language (University College London), and a PhD in English Linguistics (University of Vienna). His research focuses on Cognitive-Functional Grammar, Syntactic Variation and Change, and Corpus Linguistics. Notable works include co-edited volumes such as Outside the Clause (2016) and Insubordination (2019). His research explores grammatical structures, syntactic variation, and corpus-based methods. He has held academic roles at the University of Vienna and as a Visiting Professor at the University of Lille. Consultation hours are Tuesdays 15:30–16:30.
