Gundula Bosch, PhD, MEdHP, MS, is a Research Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a joint appointment in the School of Education. She is the Director of the R3 Center for Innovation in Science Education (R3ISE), where she leads transformative programs in Rigor, Reproducibility, and Responsibility (R3) in scientific training. Her work bridges molecular microbiology, public health, and education, fostering interdisciplinary and ethical scientific practice.

Dr. Bosch holds a PhD in Biology from the Technical University of Munich and the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry, an MS from the same institution, and an MEdHP from Johns Hopkins University (2016). Her research focuses on implementation science, meta-science, science communication, research ethics, and competency-based education frameworks. She develops and evaluates training programs that integrate critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, ethical decision-making, and social justice into graduate science education.
Her recent publications highlight trends in interdisciplinary science education, responsible communication, and innovative frameworks like the 'double diamond' for nurturing creativity in research.
