Guillermo J. Garcia Sanchez is a Professor of Law at Texas A&M University’s School of Law. His expertise spans International Law, International Energy Law, and U.S.-Mexico Energy Relations, with a focus on legal frameworks governing energy sovereignty and transnational disputes.
- Education: B.A. in Law (2009) and B.A. in International Relations (2010) from ITAM University; Harvard Law School scholarship recipient.
His research explores tensions in energy regulation under international treaties like USMCA, environmental justice in infrastructure projects, and sovereignty conflicts. Recent publications include analyses of non-binding agreements and regulatory chill in energy disputes.
