Guillermina Noël

Dr. Guillermina Noël is a Professor and Head of the Bachelor Design Management program at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art, part of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Previously, she worked as a designer at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta, Canada. Her work focuses on evidence-based design strategies, healthcare collaboration, and fostering mutual learning in interdisciplinary teams. She directs the Health Design Network, a knowledge-sharing platform supported by the International Institute for Information Design (IIID).

Her research interests emphasize healthcare design, design for uncertainty, and education strategies in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) world. Notable projects include 'Accelerating SDGs in Swiss Design Education', 'Bridging the Fertility Knowledge Gap', and the PhD Programme in Eco-Social Innovation by Design. She advocates for design as a continuous learning process that transforms perceptions of reality through iterative understanding.
