معرفی
Guillaume Vincent is a CNRS Research Director (HDR) at Institut de Chimie Moléculaire et des Matériaux d'Orsay (ICMMO), part of Université Paris-Saclay. He leads the Methodology, Synthesis & Therapeutic Molecules team within the Biology-Pharmacy-Chemistry Center. His research focuses on the chemistry of the indole nucleus, developing strategies for dearomatization and total synthesis of natural products, particularly indole alkaloids and terpenoids. He has pioneered electrochemical methods and biomimetic approaches in organic synthesis.
Education:
- B.Eng. from Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Physique Électronique de Lyon (2002)
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Université Lyon I (2002)
- PhD under Prof. Marco Ciufolini (2005) on macrocycle synthesis of soraphen A
- Postdoc with Prof. Robert M. Williams (2005-2006), completing the total synthesis of cribrostatin IV
Research Interests: Development of novel synthetic methodologies for indole scaffolds, electrochemical transformations, and biomimetic total synthesis of complex natural products. Key areas include dearomatization strategies, oxidative couplings, and applications in drug discovery.
Notable Achievements: Advanced Researcher prize from the French Chemical Society (2018), ANR funding coordinator for projects like TetraIndole (2021) and Mt Indole (2015). Supervised over 20 PhD students and postdocs, many of whom have pursued academic or industry careers globally.
Grants & Funding: Includes ANR PRC grants, Labex CHARM3AT fellowships, Marie Curie Actions, and collaborations with pharmaceutical partners like Oncodesign and Evotec.
Labs & Teams: Active in ICMMO's synthesis and electrochemistry facilities, collaborating with teams in pharmacy and material sciences at Université Paris-Saclay.
