Recent publications increasingly address hybrid teaching methods and digital tools in educational contexts.
Analysis of Serres' recent publications reveals consistent focus on professional development across educational contexts, with growing attention to hybrid teaching methods and digital tools in teacher education. His work demonstrates interdisciplinary connections between educational sciences, cognitive psychology, and professional training, with emphasis on how teachers navigate prescribed curricula while developing professional identities. The research shows evolution from early work on novice teachers to current investigations of trainer development and hybrid educational models.
As an academic advisor, Serres currently supervises two doctoral students (Aline Ravoux and Rémi Maurel since 2024) and has previously guided Jérome Riou to completion in 2017. He serves on the editorial committee of the journal "Recherche et Formation" and acts as an expert for HCERES. His leadership roles include representing the ACTé laboratory at the Maison des Sciences de l'Homme since 2020 and serving as Deputy Director since 2021.
Within the ACTé laboratory, Serres contributes to multiple research operations including anthropological studies of teaching activities, professional transitions of referees, advanced practice nursing, and the evaluation of pedagogical devices at university level. His collaborative work spans across educational contexts from primary and secondary schools to university settings, focusing on how professional experience develops through various training situations.
