Guillaume Jomand

Guillaume Jomand is an Associate Researcher at the Laboratory on Vulnerabilities and Innovation in Sport (L-VIS, EA 7428) at Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University and a Professor of Physical Education in secondary education. He holds memberships in the French Society for the History of Sport (SFHS), the International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport (ISHPES), and serves as Treasurer of the Association for the Teaching of Physical Education and Sports in Lyon (AEEPS Lyon).

Jomand completed his Doctorate in STAPS at Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University in 2020, with a thesis titled 'Feminization of sports wrestling (1971-early 21st century): practice, representations and institutions.' His educational background includes a Master's in STAPS (2005), CAFEP-CAPEPS (2008), Internal EPS Aggregation (2016), and qualification for Lecturer position (74th section) in 2022.

His research examines gender integration in combat sports through historical and anthropological perspectives, focusing on:
