Guillaume Gentil is a Professor in the School of Linguistics and Language Studies at Carleton University. His research focuses on second language writing, bi/pluriliteracy development, and the intersection of multilingualism with academic and professional contexts. He has held editorial roles for the Journal of Second Language Writing and conducted SSHRC-funded research on academic biliteracy development in Canada's official languages (2017–2022).
