Guilherme Lichand is an Assistant Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, where he focuses on addressing educational inequities in the Global South through interdisciplinary research and technological innovation. He serves as Co-Director of the Stanford Lemann Center and as a faculty affiliate at the Stanford King Center on Global Development and Stanford Center on Early Childhood.

Research Interests span educational equity, socio-emotional learning, remote education, and technology-driven interventions in low-resource settings. His work combines data science, behavioral economics, and policy analysis, with applications in Brazil, Cote d'Ivoire, and Malawi.
Recent publications focus on SMS-based mindset measurement in Brazil, participatory disease surveillance in Malawi, and socio-emotional interventions during the pandemic. His scientific awards include recognition from the Schwab Foundation (2020) and MIT Technology Review (2014), alongside Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity accolades.
