Guilherme Azevedo

Guilherme Azevedo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Studies & Ethics. He holds a PhD from McGill University (2010), an MSc in Management from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2000), and a BSc in Naval Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996). His professional trajectory includes roles as Major Manager at Audencia Business School (2014-2017), external researcher at the University of Cape Town (2013-2018), and teaching positions at McGill, Insper, FGV, and PUC-Rio. He has held visiting professorships at MIT Sloan (2012) and McGill (2022-2023), and serves on the board of Brands of Azevedo Engenharia since 2006.

His research examines organizational paradoxes, cross-cultural management, business ethics, globalization dynamics, and socio-historical analyses of institutions. Current investigations focus on sustainability transitions, organizational stupidity, racial inclusion histories, and ethnographic studies of corporate cultures.
