Dr. Guido Bacciagaluppi is an Associate Professor at Utrecht University's Department of History and Philosophy of Science, part of the Faculty of Science. He is affiliated with the Freudenthal Institute and the Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and Humanities. His research focuses on quantum mechanics, the philosophy of probability, and the history of foundational scientific debates. Notably, he has published extensively on the 1927 Solvay Conference and the Einstein-Bohr debates, co-authoring works such as Quantum Theory at the Crossroads (2009) and The Einstein Paradox (2023). He has also contributed to historical analyses of Grete Hermann’s contributions to quantum theory and philosophy. Dr. Bacciagaluppi serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for General Philosophy of Science and is a member of several international academic societies. His work bridges technical philosophy of physics with historical scholarship, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to foundational questions.
