Gudrun Maierhof

Prof. Dr. Gudrun Maierhof is a full-time Professor at the Department of Methodological Competence and History of Social Work within the College of Social Work & Health at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She holds additional qualifications in Group Analysis (SGAZ) and Thematic-Centered Interaction (TCI), with a focus on social work education, Jewish social work history, and group analytical supervision.

• Education: Dr. phil. in Social Work from University of Kassel (2001)
• Research emphasis on psychodynamic/group-analytical perspectives, Jewish welfare history during National Socialism, and gender research.

Her recent publications address group dynamics, historical analysis of Jewish social institutions, and educational methodologies. She leads collaborative projects like the Gumpertz’sche Siechenhaus research group and has implemented group analysis frameworks in applied sciences. Active in supervisory roles and editorial work for the Zurich Seminars for Group Analysis (SGAZ), her work bridges historical scholarship with contemporary social work practice.
