Dr. Gudrun Erzgräber is a distinguished academic and science manager with significant contributions to Berlin's scientific landscape. She served as head of site management for the Berlin-Buch campus post-reunification, playing a pivotal role in establishing the BiotechPark. Her career transitioned from research to science administration, where she helped build the renowned Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine. She holds the title of Professor, having qualified in 1986, and has been honored with national and state awards for her work.
- Education: Began studies in physics and nuclear physics at institutions in Berlin and Dresden (1958–1960s). Later pursued engineering pedagogy and became a specialist translator.
Her research interests span radiation biology, molecular biology, nuclear physics, and science management. She founded a radiation biology laboratory in Dubna, Russia (1976–1983), and later focused on biotechnology development through her administrative roles.
