Guang Ye

Prof. Dr. Guang Ye is a Professor of Advanced Construction Materials at TU Delft's Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Section Materials and Environment. With a Cum Laude PhD from TU Delft (2003) and VENI grant (2005), he leads the Concrete Modelling and Materials Behavior research group.

Research Interests focus on alternative binders like geopolymer concrete, cementitious material properties, numerical simulation of materials behavior, durability of concrete systems, and sustainable construction materials using industrial by-products. He has contributed to thermodynamic modeling, multi-scale simulations, and self-healing mechanisms in cementitious composites.

Publication Trends show expertise in chloride diffusion, alkali activation of fly ash/slag, geopolymer concrete, and computational modeling of microstructural evolution. His work emphasizes sustainability through waste valorization (MSWI slags, biomass ashes, construction wastes) and durability prediction.
