Prof. Dr. Grischa Perino is a Professor of Environmental Economics at the Department of Socioeconomics, Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, University of Hamburg. His research focuses on environmental economics, climate policy, and applied microeconomic theory, particularly examining instrument choice, intrinsic motivation for environmental protection, preferences for environmental policies, and environmental innovations.
- Key projects: Co-chair of the CliCCS Cluster of Excellence's "Dynamics of Climate Governance" and chair of the Kopernikus-Project ARIADNE's climate policy work package.
- Expertise: Carbon market design, EU ETS reforms, and behavioral economics applications to climate policy.
Prominent publications in Science, Nature Climate Change, and Nature Food. He has advised European Commission (DG CLIMA), German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and the German Environment Agency.
