Gregory Warren is an Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies at Chapman University's Attallah College of Educational Studies. He holds a BS in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and MA and PhD in Education from Chapman University. His research focuses on leadership development, critical pedagogy, and democratic education, particularly through the lens of Paulo Freire's philosophical contributions. Warren retired from a 30-year municipal career to pursue academia and co-founded Alchemy Associates, which specializes in leadership development and conflict management practices. His recent work includes co-editing Freirean Echoes and publishing on mentorship for Black males in incarcerated contexts.
