Gregory Tate is a Senior Lecturer in Victorian Literature at the University of St Andrews' School of English. He holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford (2009) and has taught at Surrey University and Oxford colleges before joining St Andrews in 2015. His research focuses on 19th-century literature, with specialties in Romantic and Victorian poetry, literature and science, grammar/multilingualism, and periodical studies. He has authored two monographs, edited volumes for Oxford University Press, and secured major grants like the AHRC-funded 'Victorian Literary Languages' network (2022-23).
