Gregory Springate

Gregory Springate serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance within MacEwan University's School of Business in Edmonton, Alberta. Appointed to his current dual role in 2022 after achieving tenure and promotion to Assistant Professor in 2017, he has taught at MacEwan since 2007 with full-time commitment since 2014.

Holding an MBA from Simon Fraser University and dual credentials as Chartered Professional Accountant (2015) and Chartered Accountant (2004) in Alberta, his expertise spans financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and strategic business analysis. His research focuses on government and not-for-profit accounting systems, enterprise resource planning integration, and data analytics applications in public sector finance.
