Gregory R. Niehaus

Dr. Gregory Niehaus is Professor of Finance and Insurance at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. from Washington University and previously served as Department Chair and Senior Associate Dean. His research spans corporate finance, insurance economics, pension systems, and corporate risk management strategies.

Professor Niehaus maintains active research programs in insurance markets, corporate finance, and financial institutions, with recent work examining pandemic risk coverage, insurer capital structures, and regulatory impacts on financial stability. His publications demonstrate methodological diversity including empirical analyses and theoretical modeling of risk transfer mechanisms.
