His research focuses on Augustinian theology's contemporary relevance, particularly through urban lenses addressing race, class, and community ethics. He explores ecclesiological frameworks and political theology while developing interests in Asian American theology and historical biblical interpretation.
Publications demonstrate consistent engagement with Augustinian political theology, scriptural hermeneutics, and social ethics. Recent work bridges historical theology with modern social justice issues like mass incarceration and racial reconciliation.
External roles include teaching pastorate at Lawndale Christian Community Church and previous board leadership for Princeton's Manna Christian Fellowship.
