Gregory Kerr is an Associate Professor in the College of Arts, Education, and Humanities at DeSales University, where he has been a faculty member since 1992 and was promoted to his current rank in 2000. His academic career is anchored in philosophical scholarship within Catholic intellectual traditions, with active engagement in national academic associations and editorial work.
His educational background includes:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from Fordham University
Research focuses on Philosophy, particularly Thomism, Natural Law, Aesthetics, and Political Philosophy, with contributions to four books published by the Catholic University of America Press—exemplified by The Common Things: Essays on Thomism and Education and Beauty, Art, and the Polis—and articles in the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars Quarterly. He serves as an editor for the American Maritain Association and on the editorial board of Vera Lux, the International Natural Law Journal, while regularly presenting at conferences of the American Philosophy Association and American Catholic Philosophical Association.
At DeSales University, he spearheaded the acquisition of the Walter Kerr Theatre Collection for the Trexler Library, demonstrating significant institutional contribution beyond teaching and research.
