Gregory H. Shill is a Professor of Law and the Michael and Brenda Sandler Faculty Fellow in Corporate Law at the University of Iowa College of Law. He holds courtesy appointments in Economics at the Tippie College of Business and at the College of Engineering’s Driving Safety Research Institute. His research focuses on corporate law, securities regulation, local government law, transportation policy, and infrastructure governance. Shill’s work has been published in leading journals like the NYU Law Review and Harvard Law Review Forum, and cited by courts such as the Delaware Court of Chancery. He co-hosts the podcast Densely Speaking and contributes to media outlets like The New York Times and NPR. Shill’s current projects include a CDC-funded study on older-driver safety and a focus on pedestrian safety reforms. He previously held fellowships at Harvard and NYU Law Schools, and practiced corporate law at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. His education includes a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a B.A. from Columbia College, and an M.A. from the Jewish Theological Seminary.
