Dr. Gregory Betts is a Professor in the Department of English Language & Literature at Brock University, serving as Undergraduate Officer and former Associate Director of the Social Justice Research Institute. His research focuses on avant-garde and experimental literature, Canadian modernism, and Indigenous literatures, with a particular emphasis on cultural movements and archival recovery. He holds a PhD from York University (2005) and has held prestigious roles such as Chancellor’s Chair for Research Excellence (2014–2017) and Craig Dobbin Chair of Canadian Studies at University College Dublin (2018–2019).

Grants & Projects: Recipient of SSHRC grants for projects on bpNichol’s avant-garde poetry and the VanGardes. He curates the bpNichol.ca Digital Archive and collaborates on initiatives like the SpokenWeb research partnership.
