Madeleine Reddon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Loyola University Chicago. Her research focuses on 20th-21st century Indigenous literature, global modernism, and avant-garde traditions, guided by anti-colonial and decolonial frameworks. Born and raised in Treaty 6 territory in Edmonton, Canada, she is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta.

Her current book project, Inheritances, examines aesthetic connections between Indigenous writers, African American authors, and surrealist movements. Research interests include psychoanalysis, Indigenous and Black feminisms, and critical theory. Recent work explores kinship, dispossession, and the intersections of Indigenous epistemologies with global modernist practices.
Publications span analyses of Chester Himes, Indigenous horror narratives, and avant-garde literary forms. Her writing bridges academic and public spheres, including pedagogical resources for Indigenous stories and biographies of historical figures.
