Gregor P. Henze is a Professor and holds the Charles Victor Schelke Endowed Chair in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is also a RASEI Fellow and a joint professor at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), collaborating with power systems and building research groups. His roles include leadership as RASEI Associate Director for Energy Systems (2017–2021) and co-founder/Chief Scientist of QCoefficient, Inc.

- MS in Mechanical Engineering, Oregon State University (1991)
- Dipl.-Ing. (Diplom-Ingenieur) in Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Berlin, Germany (1992)

- Building-to-grid integration and optimal control strategies
- Model-based predictive control for building energy systems
- Whole-building fault detection and diagnosis
- Low-exergy systems and zero energy buildings
- Sustainable design and HVAC system optimization
- Building thermal mass utilization and sensor-based occupancy detection
Honors:
- Recipient of multiple best paper awards from ASME, ASHRAE, and other institutions
- Colorado Cleantech Industry Association Research Award (2011)
- Fulbright Scholarship for graduate studies (1990–1991)
- Endowed Lewis-Worcester Faculty Fellowship (2014–2018)
