Greg Schneider

Greg Schneider is a Researcher and Collection Manager of Reptiles and Amphibians at the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology since 1986. He specializes in the preservation, care, and management of museum collections and associated data.

• Education: BS (1980) and MS (1986) in Biology from California State College, Stanislaus and University of California, Santa Barbara

His research interests span Museum Collections Management, Herpetology, Taxonomy, Biogeography, and Biodiversity Conservation. His recent work in 2025 on the biogeographic and conservation implications of Tropidurus madeiramamore in Bolivia highlights his focus on ecological significance and species distribution.
