Graziella Postolache is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Language and Cultural Studies at the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL). She holds a PhD in French Language and Literature with a Women and Gender Studies certificate from Washington University in St. Louis. Her expertise centers on early modern literature, particularly French and Italian women writers of the Renaissance and Reformation eras. In 2021, she received the prestigious Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Postolache’s research spans interdisciplinary topics including women’s literary contributions to early modern Europe and pedagogical approaches to teaching these works. Her 2011 publication Teaching French Women Writers of the Renaissance and Reformation explores methodologies for engaging with underrepresented voices in literary history. More recently, she contributed to UMSL Daily’s 2022 article highlighting new faculty members, reflecting her institutional involvement.
Her academic journey includes teaching French and Spanish at Webster University before joining UMSL. While no grants or formal lab affiliations are noted, her work emphasizes cultural and historical contexts in language education.
