Professor Graham Kerr is a faculty member in the School of Exercise & Nutrition Sciences at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), part of the Faculty of Health. He holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia and has extensive expertise in motor control, movement disorders, and aging-related mobility challenges.
His research focuses on postural stability, gait analysis, and Parkinson's disease, with projects funded by the NHMRC Injury Prevention Partnership. Key areas include the impact of visual deficits on balance, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and proprioceptive control mechanisms.
Recent studies investigate wearable technologies for stress biomarkers, heat sensitivity in Parkinson's patients, and dance interventions for mobility improvement. He has supervised over 15 PhD/Master's students and contributed to 165+ peer-reviewed publications.
