Professor Graham Farr leads the Discrete Mathematics Research Group at Monash University's Faculty of Information Technology. His research encompasses combinatorics, graph algorithms, computational complexity, and matroid theory. Recognized for excellence, he received the 2022 Dean’s Award for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, the 2011 Vice-Chancellor's Award for Postgraduate Supervision, and a 2000 Teaching Award commendation. He regularly teaches FIT2014 (Theory of Computation) and leads Computer History Tours of Melbourne.
His funded projects include network-based drug discovery for malaria (NHMRC 2021-2023) and structural computing research in graph theory (ARC 2013-2016).
