Graham Duckworth

Graham Duckworth is a Lecturer at the Birmingham College of Food within University College Birmingham. He holds qualifications including a BSc (Hons), Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and multiple City & Guilds certifications. With over two decades in the baking industry, he has worked at companies like British Bakeries, Puratos, and Campden BRI, leading roles such as Hovis Product Development Manager and Bakery Technology Manager. His expertise spans bakery processes, ingredients, and technology.

He joined University College Birmingham in 2015 to teach both Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) bakery students, leading modules like Contemporary Bread Production and Food Production Management. His research interests focus on bakery science and skills development.

Externally, Duckworth serves as a Council Member for the Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST), a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Bakery, and an International Judge for the World Bread Championships (Mondial du Pain). He has collaborated with global companies including PepsiCo, Domino's, and McDonald's.
