Graham Cormode is the newly appointed Professor of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, holding a Professorial Fellowship at St John's College. He will commence his role on 1 January 2026, transitioning from his previous position as Professor of Computer Science at the University of Warwick.
- Research Interests: Focus on privacy and data anonymisation techniques, algorithms for massive data analysis and machine learning, and scalable computation over distributed and streaming data.
- Previous Affiliations: Worked at the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science (Rutgers), AT&T Labs, Meta, and the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing.

- Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery
Joining Oxford’s Data, Knowledge, and Action theme, Cormode is anticipated to strengthen the department’s expertise in data science and theoretical computer science through his research and collaborations.
