Graeme William Walter is the Disney Professor of Archaeology at the University of Cambridge and Director of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research. He also serves as a Professorial Fellow at St John's College, Cambridge. Previously, he held roles such as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Resources) at the University of Leicester and Head of the School of Archaeological Studies there. His academic journey began with a BA in Classics and Archaeology from the University of Cambridge (1965-1969), followed by PhD research at St John's College, Cambridge (1969-1972).
