Graeme Miles is a Senior Lecturer in Classics at the University of Tasmania, based in the School of Humanities and History and Classics Department. He specializes in Greek literature of the Roman era, Platonic tradition, and ancient philosophy. His research interests include Philostratus' works, Neoplatonism, and the intersection of literature and philosophy. Miles holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia (2007) and has held academic positions at Ghent University (2007) and the University of Western Australia (2008). He supervises doctoral and masters students in ancient Greek language, literature, and philosophy, and teaches units such as Ancient Greek language, Greek Philosophy, and Classical Mythology.

He has received grants from the University of Tasmania for projects on Philostratus, Porphyry, and late-antique philosophical concepts.
