Professor Graeme Jones is a leading researcher at the University of Tasmania's Menzies Institute for Medical Research, specializing in rheumatology, arthritis epidemiology, and preventative healthcare. His extensive research portfolio includes over 1,100 publications and 98 funded projects addressing osteoarthritis mechanisms, pain management, and musculoskeletal health.
His research focuses on osteoarthritis etiology and progression, chronic pain mechanisms, bone microarchitecture, and therapeutic interventions. Recent investigations explore links between pathogen exposure and chronic pain, MRI-based osteoarthritis diagnostics, nutritional interventions like krill oil, and connections between musculoskeletal pain and neurodegenerative conditions.
