Graeme Black is a Clinical Professor of Genetics and Ophthalmology at the University of Manchester and Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He serves as Strategic Director of the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine and previously led the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and the Institute of Human Development. His research focuses on genetic disorders of the eye, genomic medicine, and translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice. He holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford and has held prestigious fellowships from the Wellcome Trust.
