Dr. Grace L. Francis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education: Adapted Curriculum at George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development. She holds a PhD from the University of Kansas and is affiliated with the Helen A. Kellar Institute for Human disAbilities. Her research focuses on disability inclusion, family-professional partnerships, transition planning, and equitable educational practices for individuals with disabilities. She has authored or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles and textbooks, including the 8th edition of Families and Professionals: Trusting Partnerships in General and Special Education.
