Dr. Grace Jacek is an Associate Professor at the McAuley School of Nursing within the University of Detroit Mercy. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Master of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the same institution, along with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Henry Ford Community College.
Her scholarly work concentrates on evidence-based adult learning interventions in higher education and undergraduate nursing curriculum development. Previously, she published on clinical updates and legislative initiatives, producing policy briefs through her engagement with state and federal advocacy efforts.
Dr. Jacek maintains active clinical expertise across multiple specialties including:
- Intensive care and emergency nursing
- Cardiology and cardiac catheterization
- Primary care in home settings
- Oncology (inpatient/outpatient)
- Internal medicine hospitalist practice
She holds significant regulatory experience through her appointment to the Michigan Board of Nursing by Governor Whitmer and previously served six years on the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners board.
