Grace Horne is a Teaching Professor in the English Department at East Carolina University (ECU). She joined the department in 2004 after prior teaching experience in ECU's Department of Communication and Broadcasting. Her academic background includes a B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and an M.A. from East Carolina University.
Her research interests focus on the English Novel, Jane Austen's works, the role of place in Southern Fiction, Literary Theory, and the cultural intersections of food. She teaches courses such as Writing for Business, Writing about the Disciplines, and Foundations of College Writing.
Grace is actively involved in community non-profits and enjoys family time, literature, music, and cultural exploration. Her career spans both academic and administrative roles in higher education, reflecting her dedication to fostering intellectual and personal growth.
