Grace Exley is a doctoral researcher at the University of Leeds' School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science, where she joined in 2021. Her research focuses on women's contributions to 19th-century geology in Oxford, working with the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. She holds an MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Her work restores visibility to overlooked female geologists like Mary Buckland and Anne Phillips, analyzing archival materials and museum collections to contextualize women's roles in science.

Research Interests:
She explores women's historical participation in sciences, particularly geology, botany, and physics, alongside science communication and educational materials targeting girls. Her broader interests include the Cavendish Laboratory’s history and the intersection of education, science, and gender.
Outreach:
From 2019–2021, she served as Co-President of Cambridge Hands-On Science (CHaOS), organizing STEM outreach for underrepresented groups. She currently acts as Fundraising Officer for the organization.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with the Oxford University Museum of Natural History on collections-based research.
