Goya Wannamethee

Goya Wannamethee is a Professor of Epidemiology at University College London's Primary Care & Population Health department within the UCL Medical School. Based at the Royal Free Campus in London, he has established himself as a leading figure in cardiovascular epidemiology research with over three decades of academic experience since completing his BSc at Durham University in 1983 and MSc at Oxford University in 1984.

His research focuses on cardiovascular disease epidemiology with particular emphasis on coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and the role of lifestyle factors including alcohol consumption, smoking, obesity, and physical activity.
