Gowtham is a Research Associate Professor in Applied Computing and Director of Research Computing at Michigan Technological University (Michigan Tech). He holds a PhD in Engineering Physics from Michigan Tech (2007) and has postdoctoral experience in Physics. His roles include teaching, research, and administration, with a focus on advancing high-performance computing and fostering collaborations through initiatives like the NSF ACCESS Program and Supercomputing Conference. He previously worked at AT&T Research and Development (2007–2009).

Service & Collaboration: Represents Michigan Tech in the HPC Advisory Council and NSF ACCESS Program, promoting partnerships between academia and industry to create opportunities for students/researchers.
