Gordon Burtch serves as Professor of Information Systems and Fellow of the Digital Business Institute at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. His academic appointments include Associate Editor roles for Management Science and Information Systems Research journals.
His research centers on economic evaluation of online platform technologies, specifically examining drivers of individual participation in digital contexts and societal consequences of these systems. Methodologically, he employs empirical analyses rooted in econometrics and field experimentation.
Burtch has secured over $2 million in research funding from entities including Meta, Adobe, 3M, NSF, and Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
