Dr. Goran Tomka is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK) within Singidunum University, Belgrade. He specializes in cultural policy, audience studies, and creative industries, with a focus on discursive formations in cultural production.
- Education: University of Arts in Belgrade (B.A. in Culture and Media, M.A. in Cultural Policy and Management), Faculty of Dramatic Arts (PhD in Cultural Production).
- Teaching Experience: Faculty of Sports and Tourism (Novi Sad), UNESCO Department of Cultural Policy and Management (Belgrade), Lumière Lyon 2 University (France), University of International Relations (Beijing).
His research explores alternative economies in culture, audience participation, and challenges in European cultural policies. Key projects include the INVENT initiative under HORIZON 2020 and the 'Force of Art' project by European Cultural Foundation.
Selected publications address audience discourses, cultural policy strategies, and youth engagement in cultural life. He co-authored the Strategy for Cultural Development of Novi Sad and the national profile of Serbia for the Council of Europe's Compendium.
