Dr. Gopal Jamnal is a Senior Lecturer in Data Science and AI at Leeds Beckett University’s School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing. He holds a PhD in IoT Machine Learning from Edinburgh Napier University and has over 10 years of industry-academia experience across Europe, the UK, and Asia-Pacific. His research focuses on explainable AI systems, health informatics, financial risk management, and DevOps engineering. He is currently leading a Innovate UK KTP project worth £260k to develop the Intelligent System for the NetZero Era (IS-NeZE) with Quality Bearings Online (QBOL), collaborating with the Business School to transition business models toward net-zero goals.
