Golam Newaz

Golam Newaz is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Wayne State University, specializing in advanced materials, deformation mechanisms, and biomedical device design. Research Grants & Collaborations: Golam Newaz has secured funding from prestigious institutions such as the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), National Science Foundation (NSF), Battelle/US Air Force, Automotive Composites Consortium (Ford/GM/Chrysler), Research Applications Inc./US Air Force, and Ford. Projects include durability studies of short fiber composites, multiaxial design tools for metal matrix composites, and educational initiatives like the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs.
