Dr. Glyn Bissix is a Professor at Acadia University, specializing in environmental policy and community sustainability. His research focuses on transitioning small communities to net-zero carbon regimes, healthy active living, and ecosystem management. He co-authored Integrated Resource & Environmental Management: The Human Dimension and has published influential work in ecological and community development journals. Active in field education, he led courses in Scotland’s Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Collaborations include the Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche en Opperationnalisation du Developppement Durable (CORIDD) for net-zero strategies. He volunteers with search and rescue teams and promotes active transportation infrastructure in Nova Scotia.
