Gloriana Gonzalez Rivera

Gloriana Gonzalez Rivera is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with affiliations to the Center for Social & Behavioral Science and the Siebel Center for Design. Her research focuses on problem-based mathematics instruction, analyzing teachers' decision-making processes and strategies for leveraging student prior knowledge in geometry classrooms.

Her work has explored interdisciplinary approaches like integrating visual arts contexts into geometry teaching, supported by a $1.38M NSF DRK-12 grant for developing human-centered design modules.
